Advances Column on Load Grid

An Advances column has been added to the Load Grid. This column will show a total of all Comchek Advances issued on the Load. This column can be sorted and filtered just the same as other columns on the grid, just as it can be turned off and moved.

Filtering the Advance Column

Let’s see how to use the filtering feature to see the Loads that have Advances issued.

  1. Click on the Filter icon in the right of the column header.

  2. This opens up an input box to collect information about how you want things filtered.
  3. You have many options to filter by…you can filter for particular amounts, in amount ranges, for empty cells or for cells with any kind of data. In this example, we want to see all Loads with Advances. So, we are going to click on the drop-down arrow to open the selector.
  4. This opens a drop-down with several selections.
  5. At the bottom are the “Empty” and “Not Empty” options. (These will be the most often used options.)
  6. Select the “Not Empty” option. This causes the other options to disappear and your selection to be entered into the box.
  7. You can leave this box empty for this example… if you had been searching for other information, such as ‘all Loads without Advances’ or ‘Advances larger than $500’,  you could use these boxes to enter other information pertaining to your search.
  8. Now you click the ‘Filter’ button to conduct the search.
  9. Your grid now shows all of the Loads according to the data you entered into the Filter.

At this point, you can further customize the screen to better display the information according to your needs. For example, after conducting the exercise above, you may want to show the most recent Loads at the top, in which case you would click on the ‘Ship Date’ column header to Sort the column, and thus grid, by the date with most recent at the top. This demonstrates how the Filtering and Sorting features of the grids can be quite powerful in finding the desired information.
