Multi-Sort Feature

The Load and Order grids are now sporting a new feature you may have noticed – it is the ability to Multi-Sort by multiple columns.

What does this mean?

Let’s say that you want to show all of your Loads by status, then within the status, show each section by the date in order. Before, this was not possible. A user was only able to sort by one column at a time. (Sorting by one column is still possible as you will soon see.) Now, when the feature is enabled, users can sort by several columns at the same time.

How do I enable this feature?

The feature to multi-sort needs to be enabled to work, otherwise it will work as it did before and the grid will only be able to be sorted by one column at a time.

Multi Sort in the Off Position

To enable the multi-sort feature, you need to toggle the switch to ‘ON’. The switch can be found in the Settings menu on the grid (open the Settings menu by clicking on the Gear Icon).

Now, how do I sort?

Once the Multi-Sort feature has been enabled, you will need to remove all of the filters currently in and start from scratch. You do this by clicking on the “Remove Sort/Filter” option underneath the “Multi Sort” toggle. This will reset all the filters and current sorts and allow you to now start with a fresh grid.

Now, you will now click on the title bar of the column you want to sort first and set the sort how you want (1 click for ascending, 2nd for descending and 3rd will be back to neutral). You will continue to set your columns in the order you want them sorted. (See the graphic below for more information.)
