Explanation of Statuses

Update Note 9/3/21: The appearance of Arcus has changed slightly since the images below were taken. However, the steps outlined are still accurate.

ARCUS has a variety of Statuses that are available throughout the life of the Load. These Statuses can be found at both the Order level as well as the Load level. There is a natural progression of Statuses as well, beginning at the creation of an Order and following through to the final release of the Load to the Accounting department.

Order Level Statuses

OPEN – this status is automatically updated and is achieved when all of the required information for the Order has been entered and saved.
INCOMPLETE – this status is the first status of an Order. It is automatically upgraded to the next status when all of the required information has been entered and saved.

Load Level Statuses

ALERT – this status can be used when there is a problem with a Load, other than being Late, that needs attention
BOOKED – this status is when a Load has been created but does not currently have a Carrier assigned
COVERED – this status is when a Load has been created and has a Carrier assigned but has not yet been Dispatched or has been picked up
DELIVERED – this status is when the Load has been completely Delivered and all Stops are complete
DISPATCHED – this status is when the Load has been Dispatched and is In Route to the first Pick-up location
INROUTE – this status is when the Load has completed it’s first stop and is In Route but has not completed it’s final Stop
LATE – this status is when the Load has become Late to it’s next destination and needs attention
LOADED – this status is when the Load has been Loaded at it’s Pick-up location but has not left yet
RELEASED – this status is used when the Load has completed all of it’s stops and all other tasks are completed; this is the final step to Release the Load to the Accounting department

Progression of Statuses

At the Order level, the progression of statuses is as follows:

INCOMPLETE –> OPEN

At the Load level, the average progression of statuses is as follows:

BOOKED –> COVERED –> DISPATCHED –> LOADED –> INROUTE –> DELIVERED –> RELEASED

There are two statuses that are available should the need arise. These are ALERT and LATE. The LATE status should be used when the Load becomes Late for any reason and the ALERT status will be for other situations that do not involve a LATE status. Some branches may not use these statuses and choose to flag or mark these situations in other ways, such as through the Tasking features.
