Order Entry Minimum Requirements

There are several pieces of information when entering in a new Order that are considered ‘Required’ before the Order can be saved and added to a Load.

  1. Agent – this may already be selected for you.
  2. Load Type – you need to choose if the Order will be part of a FTL Load or an LTL Load. Simply speaking, will this Order (or Manifest) be added with another on the same truck?
  3. Customer – who is being billed?
  4. Rate Information – at least one Rate Code will need to be added to the Order.
  5. Commodity Type – a Commodity Type needs to be selected from the list of options. The options that contain temperature requirements per FSMA will change the Min. Temp and Max Temp fields to also become required.
  6. Stops – at least 2 stops need to be created – 1 pick and 1 drop. Each stop needs the following:
    • Stop Type – is it a Pick or a Drop?
    • Stop Date – you can type in the date using the MM/DD/YYYY format or use the Date Selector by clicking on the Calendar icon.
    • Stop Location – these are specific to your branch. You can search and choose from one that has been used in the past, or you will be able to enter a new Stop Location by clicking the + button.
